Well, the first week was amazing. Some great pieces came in. I'm very honored that time was taken to produce some amazing color art over my work. Michael Spicer of SpicerColor was this weeks winner. Now we are off to week two.
Here is how the contest goes. Keep in mind, these pieces are also being seen by my agent at Comic Art House.
As you've probably noticed over the past few weeks I've been posting up new artwork from recent commissions that I have done. Well, as you've also probably have noticed, these are uncolored. So to rectify that situation, I am starting a weekly coloring contest. Each week, a new piece will be posted in my featured art spot here on Deviantart. If you wish to take a stab at it, contact me at my email address and I will send along the high res tiff so that you can take it from there. The best coloring job (fully at my choosing) will win ten full color 11 x 17 prints of the winning entry signed and sketched on by me. These prints will be numbered 1 of 10 and will be considered the "colorist's edition". I will NOT sketch on any other version of this print, so this will truly be a unique collectible that will be completely in your hands.
To be crystal clear, each colored entry that is submitted must be done so in a high resolution (300 dpi) to my e-mail, stevescottart@yahoo.com as well as posted to Deviant Art with a link to me. I retain the right to the winning coloring job for the purpose of making prints. You are also welcome to make prints for any appearances that you make at conventions IF and only IF you win the weekly coloring challenge. Non-winning entries may use their coloring work for portfolio purposes ONLY.
